How to install Manalith.

A short guide for Mac and Windows, including the security warnings you may see the first time you open the app.

Before you begin

Download Manalith only from getmanalith.com. The current Mac release hasn’t been notarised by Apple. Windows may show an unrecognised-app or unknown-publisher warning. These checks help protect your device; only continue if you trust the source and intended to install Manalith. An unrecognised-app warning is not a guarantee that a file is safe.

Install on Mac

For macOS 13 Ventura or newer. The universal download is for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.

  1. Download Manalith for Mac and open Manalith-1.0.0-universal.dmg.
  2. Drag Manalith into your Applications folder. Wait for the copy to finish.
  3. Open Applications and double-click Manalith.

If macOS can’t verify the app

If the first launch is blocked because the developer can’t be verified or Apple hasn’t checked the app, close the warning, then:

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  2. Scroll to the security section and find the message about Manalith being blocked. Choose Open Anyway if you trust this download.
  3. Confirm with your Mac password or Touch ID if asked, and choose Open in the next prompt.

This creates an exception for this app. You should then be able to open it normally from Applications.

If no exception is offered, your Mac is managed by an organisation, or macOS says the app is damaged or will harm your computer, stop and contact me with the exact message. Don’t disable Gatekeeper or remove security protections to force it to run.

Install on Windows

For Windows 10 or 11 on a 64-bit Intel or AMD system.

  1. Download Manalith for Windows.
  2. Open Manalith Setup 1.0.0.exe from your Downloads folder.
  3. If Microsoft Defender SmartScreen shows Windows protected your PC, select More info. Check that the filename is the Manalith installer you downloaded from the official website.
  4. If you trust the download and a Run anyway button is offered, choose it to continue. This is a decision for this installer; you don’t need to turn SmartScreen off.
  5. Follow the installer’s instructions, then launch Manalith from the Start menu or its shortcut. Only approve a Windows permission prompt if it relates to the installer you intended to run.

If Windows still blocks installation

Smart App Control, organisation policies, antivirus detections, or Windows S mode may block an app without offering Run anyway. Don’t switch off antivirus or system protections to get around a block. Contact contact@getmanalith.com with the exact warning, or ask your IT administrator if the device is managed.

A malware detection is different from an unrecognised-app warning. If a security tool reports a threat, stop rather than treating it as a routine installation step.
